A campaign is a one-off email you write, check and send to your subscribers: a call announcement, an opening invitation, a newsletter. Campaigns live at Admin → Marketing → Campaigns, and your organization needs a plan that includes Marketing Hub. This guide covers writing a campaign, checking who receives it, sending it, and watching delivery afterwards.
Start a campaign
The Email Campaigns page lists everything you have drafted, scheduled and sent, with a search box and a Status filter. Select New Campaign to start from blank, or New from template to start from a campaign template your team saved. Generate Newsletter builds a draft from exhibitions, events, calls, classes and artworks you pick.
A new campaign opens on its setup page, which is a checklist of five steps:
To is the audience: all subscribers, or specific segments with optional exclusions.
From is the sender name and the address the email comes from.
Subject is the subject line and the preview text that follows it in the inbox.
Send Time is now or a scheduled date and time.
Content is the email itself. Select Edit design to open the design editor.
Nothing sends while you work. Finish later returns you to the list, and the draft saves as you type.
Write the subject line
Enter the subject on the setup page. A moment after you stop typing, a Suggested subject appears underneath, written from your draft's own content. Select Use subject to take it or Dismiss to keep yours.
Preview text sits directly under the subject field. It is the line mail apps show after the subject, and it is worth writing: aim for 40 to 130 characters.
Design the email
The design editor opens full screen. Its left sidebar has five tabs:
Blocks inserts a new block: Text, Image, Button, Divider, Spacer, and the platform cards Exhibition, Event, Call for Artists, Class/Workshop and Artwork.
Sections inserts a prebuilt multi-block section, and holds sections you have saved.
Saved blocks holds blocks you keep for reuse.
Styles sets the campaign's colors and its Body Font and .

Heading Font
Optimize reviews the draft for problems worth fixing before you send.
Select a block and the sidebar becomes its settings panel. Font family and font size are block settings, so a change there applies to the whole block. Bold, italic, headings, color, lists, links and Align left, Align center, Align right are in the toolbar above the block and apply to the text you have selected.
Platform cards pull their own content from the record: an artwork card takes the artwork's image and its alt text, an event card takes the event's image and alt text. Add alt text to any image you upload yourself, or the send check for image alt text will fail.
The button at the top of the editor names the brand theme wrapping the email, for example Theme: Gallery Hero. Select it to pick a different one. See Brand Themes and Email Design.
Save and exit returns you to setup.
Version history
The design editor keeps a version each time you save. Open Version history from the header to see them, and select any entry to preview it. Restore this version creates a new version from the one you are viewing and makes it the current draft. Only the email content changes: your audience and send time stay as they are, and nothing is deleted, so you can switch back at any time.
Check the audience and preview a recipient
Select Review & send to open the review workspace. It shows the inbox line as a recipient sees it, the rendered email, the audience, and a list of checks.
Next to the preview is a recipient preview picker labeled Preview as. It defaults to Representative subscriber, and you can choose a real recipient from the send audience instead to see their personalized copy. Recipient names and addresses are hidden from team members who are not allowed to see subscriber details.
Send Test sends the draft to any addresses you enter, so you can read it in your own mail app before it goes out.
Send or schedule
Every check appears in the review workspace with its own name: Subject line, Preview text, Content blocks, Link validity, Image alt text, Merge tags, Recipient list, Physical address, Unsubscribe link, Verified sender identity, Sender domain, Sending quota, Bounce rate and others. A failing check shows what is wrong and a button that takes you to the place to fix it.
Send Now stays disabled while any check fails, and hovering it names the first failing check. Once everything passes, the summary reads that all checks passed and the button is live. If you chose a scheduled send, the button reads Schedule Send instead and asks for Date, Time and Timezone. Use suggested time fills in the hour your audience opens most. A scheduled campaign can be pulled back with Cancel schedule, which returns it to draft.
Sending is blocked outright when your bounce rate crosses the safety threshold, or when your monthly send allowance is used up. See Pricing and Plans for what your plan includes.
Watch send progress
Once sending starts, the campaign's Send progress page counts recipients into Queued, Accepted, Delivered, Failed, Bounced, Complaints, Canceled and Held out. A batch still processing is not a reason to send again. When it finishes, the status reads Send complete, or Completed with failures if some recipients could not be reached, with links to review failed recipients and to the delivery analytics.
Controlled-rollout capabilities
Controlled rollout: campaign approvals, campaign recipes, conditional block visibility, and advanced blocks. These are built and enabled for some organizations at a time. Access varies by organization, and a plan change does not turn them on.
Where approvals are enabled, a campaign must be approved at its current version before it can be sent, and an edit after approval requires a fresh one. Where recipes are enabled, Start from a recipe appears alongside New Campaign. Conditional block visibility shows or hides a block based on the recipient. Advanced blocks add social icons, linked video and custom HTML to the palette, and custom HTML is limited to owners and admins even then. If you do not see one of these, it is not enabled for your organization.
