Subscriber Management & Signup Forms
Your subscribers are the people your organization is allowed to email. They live at Admin → Marketing → Audience & Segments → Subscribers. This guide covers reading the list, adding and importing people, working on many at once, and collecting new subscribers from your website.
Read the list
The Subscribers page shows every contact with their email, name, status, tags and signup date. Above the table are a search box, a status filter, a source filter and a tag filter. The count under the filters tells you how many match, out of how many you have.
The source filter distinguishes where a subscriber came from: Import, Signup Form, Added by Admin, Platform Sync and Checkout.
On a phone the table becomes a card per subscriber, so the same filtering and selection work from the gallery floor.
The four statuses
Active is the only status that receives campaigns. The subscriber opted in and is confirmed.
Pending has not confirmed yet. Someone who signs up through a form stays Pending until they click the confirmation link, and Pending subscribers are not mailed.
Unsubscribed asked to stop. They are never mailed again, and no import can move them back.
Bounced could not be delivered to, or was marked as cleaned by a previous provider. Also never mailed again.
The last two are permanent by design. Reviving an opt-out damages your sender reputation and, in Australia and New Zealand, breaks the law.
Add one person
Select Add Subscriber, enter the address, add tags if you want, and save. Use this for a contact who asked you directly to be added. It is not a way around consent: you still need a lawful basis for the address you type in.
Import a list
Select Import to open Import Subscribers. It has two tabs, Generic CSV and Mailchimp, and both run the same five steps: Upload, Map Fields, Preview, Import and Results.
Self-serve imports accept files up to 5 MB and 5,000 rows. Larger lists should be split, or handed to support.
On the preview step you must tick the consent attestation before the import will run. It states that every contact gave consent to receive marketing email from your organization, that you have a lawful basis and a record of that consent, and that none of the addresses were purchased, rented or scraped. This is a hard gate, not a formality.
