Setting Up a Jury
Jury Management (Admin → Jurying, then open your call, or Admin → Calls → your call → Jury) is where you invite jurors, define how they score, and run the review in one or more rounds. This guide covers turning jurying on, inviting the panel, building a rubric, creating rounds, and checking the review screen before jurors reach it.
Turn jurying on or off
Jurying is on by default. The switch lives on the call itself, not on the Jury page: open Admin → Calls → your call → Edit, go to the Jury tab, and set Jurying to Enabled or Disabled.
Turn it off for a show where you accept submitted work directly with no panel. The Jury page then collapses to a short notice, and you make decisions from the Submissions page instead. See Accepting, Rejecting and Waitlisting Submissions.
The Jury Management tabs
With jurying on, the Jury page has nine tabs: Members, Rounds, Results, Awards, Waitlist, Categories, Rubrics, Conflicts and Audit. A Redaction review button sits above them.
Rolling calls are different. They have no rounds, so Rounds and Results are replaced by a Pending applicants tab where you admit one applicant at a time. See Rolling Calls.
Invite your jurors
On the Members tab, use the Invite Juror card.
- Choose an Invitation Type: Existing Juror picks someone who has juried for you before, New Juror takes a Juror Name and Juror Email.
- Click Send Invitation.
The invitation email is subject-lined "Invitation to Jury" with your call and organization name, and carries a registration link. A juror who has no Crafted Call account creates one from that link. A juror who is already signed in can accept from the Accept and Decline buttons on the pending-invitation banner instead.
Outstanding invitations appear under Pending Invitations with a Pending or Expired badge and a button on each row.
