Finalizing Jury Decisions
When scoring is done, the Finalize Jury panel on the Results tab (Admin → Calls → your call → Jury) turns the ranking into decisions. It marks entries juried in or out in bulk, shows you exactly what a cutoff will select before you commit, and sends the emails. This guide covers closing the round, committing a cutoff, and notifying artists.
Close scoring first
Move the round out of Open on the Rounds tab so jurors can no longer add or change scores. If some jurors have not finished, Crafted Call warns you rather than stopping you. Decisions are then based on the scores that were submitted.
A closed round cannot be reopened. If you need more scoring, create a new round; the closed round's scores are preserved.
See what a cutoff selects before you commit
The Finalize Jury panel offers two cutoffs, and each previews itself live as you type.
Mark Top N as Juried In takes a number of entries. As you type, the panel tells you how many of the scored entries that number would select. Use it when your space is fixed, for example twenty-five works on the wall.
Mark Mean ≥ % as Juried In takes a percentage of the maximum possible score. The preview again tells you how many of the scored entries would be selected. Use it when quality, not capacity, sets the line.
The preview and the action share the same calculation, so what you see is what runs.
Ties at the boundary
If entries are tied on score exactly at your cutoff, the preview says how many are tied and at what score, and they are all included. A top-25 cutoff with three entries tied in the twenty-fifth position accepts twenty-seven rather than picking one of the three arbitrarily.
That is deliberate, and it is not configurable. Plan for it: if your wall genuinely holds twenty-five, set the cutoff lower and add the pieces you want by hand.
Committing
Each button confirms before it acts, restating how many entries will be marked and how many of those are ties at the boundary. Afterwards, the panel reports how many entries actually changed.
That number can be lower than the preview. Entries that someone else moved in the meantime, or that a colleague already decided, are left exactly as they are rather than overwritten. If the count surprises you, check whether another admin was working on the same call.
Rejecting the rest
Mark Others as Juried Out marks everything not accepted or waitlisted. Run it last. The marking buttons add to what is already there rather than replacing it, so acceptances you made by hand survive.
