Frida is the assistant built into Crafted Call. She answers questions about your organization's live data and carries out real work when you ask her to, with your approval before anything changes. Look for the Ask Frida bubble in the bottom right corner of any page.
Where Frida is
The bubble.Ask Frida sits in the bottom right corner throughout the app and opens the chat panel from wherever you are.
On a phone. Artists get Ask Frida as a tab in the bottom navigation instead of the bubble.
On the public site. Visitors who are not signed in can ask Frida on the marketing and Help Center pages, about what Crafted Call does, what it costs, and how to get started. She has the Help Center to answer from, and no access to anyone's data.
In context. Buttons and links across the product open the panel with a relevant question already typed, ready for you to send or edit.
Controlled rollout: Frida discoverability. Some ways of reaching Frida, including her rows in the command palette and the first-run introduction, are being switched on organization by organization. Access varies by organization.
What Frida can do
Frida works inside the organization you are currently in and only within what your role allows. She can:
Look things up. Calls and deadlines, submissions, jury progress, artworks, exhibitions, events, members, orders, rentals, volunteers, messages, payouts and financial summaries.
Set up a call. Draft the description, eligibility, requirements and guidelines from a concept you describe, then create the call, check its readiness against a checklist, and publish it.
Work your volunteer schedule. Find unfilled shifts, read a roster, create a shift, assign someone, log hours, or send thank-you emails.
Build a gallery space from a floor plan. See below.
Help with marketing. Put together and send an email campaign to your subscribers.
Answer how-to questions. Frida reads the Help Center and answers from it, with links to the right article.
Confirming an action
Reading your data happens straight away, so answers are fast. Anything that creates, changes, deletes, sends or processes something stops and asks you first.
Frida shows a confirmation card headed Confirm with the action named, a plain-language summary of exactly what will happen, and a countdown. Higher-risk actions are marked, and an action that cannot be undone says so on the card. Choose to go ahead or to stop. If you do nothing, the request expires on its own.

Confirm
Cancel
The approval is issued by Crafted Call, not by Frida. It is tied to that exact action with those exact details, so it cannot be reused for anything else, and Frida is explicitly stopped from producing one herself. There is no code for you to type. Read the card, then click.
Attaching an image
When you are signed in and working inside an organization, the paperclip in the message box attaches images to a message, up to four per message and 10 MB each.
This is for pointing at a picture, not for showing Frida a picture. Frida cannot see what is in the image. What she can do is attach it to a record for you: put this photo on that artwork, that call, that campaign. If you want her to know what something looks like, describe it or ask her to look the record up.
Scanning a floor plan
Frida can read a floor plan into a draft gallery space. Choose Scan floor plan and upload an image or PDF of your plan, give it a name, and she reads the rooms, walls and features into a draft.
The draft is a proposal, not a saved space. You review it on its own page and confirm it before anything becomes a real gallery space, and any measurement she cannot determine from the plan is left blank rather than guessed. See Gallery Spaces and Floor Plans.
The expanded panel
Expanding the chat panel gives you three columns.
On the left, your past conversations, with New conversation at the top. You can rename or delete any of them.
In the middle, the conversation itself.
On the right, Gallery at a glance: calls that are open, submissions awaiting review, submissions today, unread messages, pending payouts, your next deadline, and how far through setup you are. Figures your role is not allowed to see show as a dash rather than a number.
An empty conversation offers a few suggested questions to start from. For an organization with something going on, those suggestions are chosen from what is actually happening in your account, and you can dismiss any you do not want to see again.
Agent mode
Controlled rollout: Agent mode. Agent mode is being piloted with individual organizations. If you do not see the Agent tab in the expanded panel, it is not switched on for you. Access varies by organization.
Agent mode lets Frida work through a longer task rather than answering one message at a time. Before anything happens, she shows an approval card headed Frida wants to with the action described, a table of exactly what it will do, and the option to see the exact input. Choose Approve, Edit to change the details first, or Decline. Nothing runs until you approve it.
Telling Frida when she got it wrong
Under each of Frida's replies there is a thumbs up and a thumbs down, labelled Good response and Bad response, plus a copy button. Rating a reply takes one click and clicking the same thumb again clears it. This is the fastest way to tell us what is working.
When something goes wrong on a page
If you hit an error while working, Frida offers to help with it: Stuck? Frida can help with that error. Choosing Ask Frida opens the panel with the problem already described. The message is left unsent so you can read it and add anything before you send.
What to double-check
Frida is useful and she is still an assistant, so verify before you rely on her:
Read the confirmation card before approving, especially for money, emails to people, and deletions.
Spot-check figures and dates against the page or report they came from when a decision rests on them.
Edit drafted content before it sends. Treat a drafted campaign or call description as a strong first draft.
Believe her when she says she is unsure, and check in the app.
Usage limits
Frida works against a monthly and daily allowance for your organization. If you reach it, she says so plainly: you have reached your organization's budget for now, try again later. Nothing is lost, and the daily allowance resets. If your organization regularly runs into it, contact support.
Troubleshooting
I cannot find the Ask Frida bubble.
It is hidden on a few pages, including sign-in and account pages and gallery websites hosted on their own domain. Move to any dashboard page and it is there. On a phone, artists have an Ask Frida tab instead.
Frida says she cannot do something.
She acts only within your role and your current organization. If you expected access, check your role with an owner or administrator.
Frida cannot tell me what is in an image I attached.
That is expected. Attachments are for putting an image on a record, not for Frida to look at.
Frida could not find recent data.
Name the call, exhibition or period explicitly and ask again.
