Editing & Withdrawing Your Submission

You can usually keep refining a submission after you send it, and you can pull it from consideration if you need to. Both start from the same place: My Submissions on your dashboard. Open the submission and read the banner at the top of the page, which always tells you which of the two is available to you and until when.

Reading the banner

The banner at the top of a submission is the honest answer, not the general rule. It says one of these:

• You can edit this submission until a date and time, with an Edit Submission button beside it. That is the deadline the call set, plus any grace period the organization allows.
• Editing locked, deadline has passed. Underneath, it tells you whether your work is now under review or simply received.
• Editing locked for this call. Some calls lock submissions the moment they are sent. When that is how the call is configured, the banner says so and points you at the organization for corrections.

Paying an entry fee never locks a submission. There is no separate final-submit step to tick. What closes the window is the call's deadline, or the call being paused or closed, or the organization choosing to lock submissions on send.

Editing

Click Edit Submission and the form reopens exactly where you left it. You can change your images, reorder them, change the primary image, and update the title, medium, dimensions, year, price and your statement, along with any questions the call asked. Save when you are done. Your changes replace what was there, so the organization reviews your latest version.

After the window closes, the organization's administrators can still make changes on their side. If you spot a mistake late, message the organization running the call and ask. Whether they act on it is up to them.

Withdrawing

Withdrawing takes your piece out of consideration entirely. It is available only when the organization has turned withdrawals on for that call.

You can withdraw while all of these hold:

• The call allows withdrawals.
• The withdrawal date has not passed. Organizations can set their own; otherwise it follows the call deadline.
• Your submission has not already been accepted, rejected, withdrawn or sold.

An accepted piece cannot be withdrawn by you on your own, because the organization has already built plans around it. Message them instead.

To withdraw, open the submission and find the Withdrawal policy box, which states the date withdrawals are allowed until. Click Withdraw Submission. The dialog names the call, warns that the action cannot be undone, and gives you an optional field before .
