This original vintage photograph has been altered with hand coloring and scraping/scratching of the surface. The vintage frame has had embellishments added on the top and bottom, symbols which refer to fraternal or tribal affiliations.

The challenging situations so prevalent in our world today inspire my recent work. Everything from environmental catastrophe, rampant racism and sexism, income inequality, gun worship, to hatred of "the other" and greed in religion move me to respond artistically. I also draw the nude from life on a regular basis, to balance the untenable with the beautiful.
