Marcia Wood Mertinooke
Currently unfinished but will be in time for show. A dress marked with cat images evoking the stereotype of the single cat lady. Cat lady being moniker meant to degrade and deride women who chose be single and possibly childless. This dress celebrates this choice using block print images appliqued to the dress in a manner meant to simulate blackwork tattoos.
