This pierced and embellished vintage frame showcases an unusual family album page. These original period photographs have been hand colored and scraped/scratched on their surfaces to reveal the characteristics of uniquely embellished family members.

The challenging situations so prevalent in our world today inspire my recent work. Everything from environmental catastrophe, rampant racism and sexism, income inequality, gun worship, to hatred of "the other" and greed in religion move me to respond artistically. I also draw the nude from life on a regular basis, to balance the untenable with the beautiful.
