The Observer is a mixed-media piece composed of repurposed cigar boxes, beer labels, advertising ephemera, and all manner of materials that would have otherwise been destined for the waste bin. Every visible surface of the piece is covered, making it impossible to experience its entirety without actively seeking it. By placing the onus on the observer to seek out every hidden vignette, it leads them to closely study elements they would have thrown away without a glance were they still on a beer can.
