This piece is titled “Vulnerable and too Visible”. It depicts a woman completely nude and hunched over hide a large portion of her body. She is exposed, displaying the array of tattoos she has acquired, the only thing she can hide behind, the only thing that can speak for her in such moments of vulnerability.

Artist Statement
Art for me is a necessity; it is a constant search for meaning and understanding in a world of chaos and cruelty. My work is a written and visual diary that depicts the reluctant struggle of my soul.
I work with a variety of mediums to convey a message of personal growth and survival. I rely heavily on the contrast of light and shadow to investigate the tension between an unyielding desire for survival and the desperate pull of destruction. Each piece is both a protest and surrender to destruction.
