Important to note that this quilt can be hung as a 2D object OR can be draped over a pedestal like a 3D object. Hand-sewn quilt made from 110 different plastic shopping bags collected over the course of two years- the quilt took about 4-5 years to complete. It is a full 3-layer quilt with batting and a back layer.

About the Artist
Michelle Peterson is a visual artist, receiving her BFA from New Hampshire Institute of Art in 2011, and her MFA from the Institute of Art and Design at New England College in 2020. She became a member of New Hampshire Art Association in 2022, and works in multiple mediums, including painting, photography, and fiber art. She is an art educator and mother of two residing in southern New Hampshire.
