Marcia Wood Mertinooke
A species of least concern is a species that is categorized as plentiful and not in need of conservation. To be a caretaker is often to be considered a source of endless devotion and sacrifice. One is expected to absolve a sense of self and need for the keeping of others.
Marcia Wood-Mertinooke is an artist living and working in Bedford, New Hampshire, holding a BA in Studio Art from UNH. Her work explores questions of existence and free will, using figures and graphic, symbolic backgrounds to blend realism with emotional expressionism. She is a member of the New Hampshire Women's Caucus for Art and a board member of Mosaic Art Collective.
