"West to Boothbay" is all about light and it's effect on the viewer. Using an acrylic underpainting on Stonehenge print paper and finished with pastels, I sought to achieve the often spiritual connection that we seek to the landscape, in this case, one of my favorite places on the coast. It is full of prediction for the coming of winter yet comforting in the promise of renewal.
