She represents a tree whose inner bark is laid bare while still supporting the growth of other species. She truly represents the resurgence of connection.

Artist Statement
My artistic practice began by observing nature-immersing myself in the smells, and formations of trees and rocks and animals. Above all mushrooms drew me in.
Soon I saw that though some may not be the “popular/usual” formations, they held more beauty with their imperfections.
We are all imperfect carrying our own crooked branches, trunks that are not straight. By encouraging the viewers to behold these creations through different eyes I want to create mindful connections. This is a great vehicle by which communities and individuals can feel closer to others who are different yet come from the same origin.
