Lingering in the depths, Wading in Water reflects the stillness found in surrendering to grief. Within shifting spaces, there is trust in the balance of buoyancy—what floats above, what drifts below. Water sustains, transforms, and connects, holding both loss and renewal. The work speaks to the presence of becoming one with your environment, of falling into and rising back from the upside down.
Elizabeth Pieroni Schulte is a native NH artist living in Hooksett, who graduated from the Maryland Institute College of Art in 2005 and is a member of the New Hampshire Artists Association. She is the founder and President of Mosaic Art Collective on Hanover Street in Manchester. Liz creates abstract botanical paintings inspired by mothering, exploring the relationship between chaos theory and mindfulness as each botanical form emerges from the chaos of paint, seeking balance and peace.
