Using myself as the muse in this Ink and watercolor piece I depicted myself looking past the flower I was holding. The new life the amaryllis sprouts each year brings hope and beauty into my life that has had many ups and downs including near death but thankfully remain hopeful in a chaotic world. I kept it monochromatic for a couple reasons, I am aging and also love the long ago feeling of this color.
